PANCO Accreditation

A Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo) is a named and qualified member of staff who leads on health and well-being, champions best practice and implements change where required. 

We are delighted that we have a member of the Kingswood team who is an accredited PANCo. This specialist role promotes positive nutrition and physical activity within our school, and ensures we prioritise a healthy school community whilst aiming to instil healthy habits in young children that will last a lifetime. 

The first five years of a child’s life is when 90% of brain development occurs. Children need to be nourished, mentally and physically, to allow them to reach their full potential and have the best possible start in life.

The Accreditation links closely with the values of Kingswood and our 5 Ways to Wow Curriculum with a focus on:

• Increased physical moments
• Being calm
• Healthy eating habits in school
• Greater opportunities for growing within school
• Improved knowledge of staff, children and families
