Early Education Provision

Nursery and Preschool are open term time only from 8:30am – 3pm.

Our school has extensive grounds, inspiring environments and qualified, dedicated and caring staff who offer first hand experiences within a rich and varied curriculum. We prioritise partnerships with families and work with outside professionals to ensure that the uniqueness of every child is celebrated.

No such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Young children do not learn in a neat and tidy way, or by sitting still for extensive periods. Our environments are supplemented by rich and varied resources, designed to spark joy, and invite curiosity. Our learners are outside everyday, in all weathers, throughout the year, in order to be healthy, self regulate, and experience growth and the seasons first hand.  

Through impassioned educators we grow curious and empowered learners.

Deeper learning happens when sensitive and knowledgeable adults are available to engage with children in their explorations.  At our school we prioritise our educators being in the moment with the children; to facilitate relationships, model language and impart knowledge. 

Sparking moments of joy!

Our educators are learners themselves, ensuring practice is based upon research, and led by teachers and Early Years experts. Sharing in memorable moments with the children will enable them to make connections, and remember knowledge.

Preschool: Learning Provision for 2&3s

Our Preschool provides care and early learning, led by a qualified and experienced leader, for children who are 2 and 3 years old. They usually join the term after their 2nd birthday.

You can choose the number of sessions you would like your child to attend, with a minimum of three sessions a week, to enable your child to settle into routines and become familiar with staff. 

We encourage families of children attending Preschool to choose our Nursery as provision for the term, or September, after they turn 3. This provides continuity of care and learning.

Our Preschool accepts childcare vouchers and 2 & 3 year old free funding.

2 year old free funding is subject to certain criteria, but all 3 year old children, the term after their third birthday, are entitled to 15 hours of free education a week.

Nursery: Learning Provision for 3&4s

 Our Nursery provides quality early education, led by a qualified teacher,  for children who are 3 and 4 years old. They usually join the term after their 3rd birthday.

Places are offered for 15 hours OR 30 hours of free education, allocated across the week, as set out below.

In addition, sessions can be extended with paid lunch sessions (11:30am – 12pm) and additional 3 hour sessions, allowing your child to stay all day, should you choose.
