Early Years Pupil Premium
High-quality early education and care supports academic success impacts better health and employment outcomes later in life.
Research shows that the learning gap between socio-economically disadvantaged children and their peers is already 4.6 months, on average, by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage. This gap continues to widen throughout primary and secondary school.
Early Years Pupil Premium funding enables school to narrow this learning gap through a range of strategies including staff training. These strategies are outlined in the plan below.
